6 Core Elements For Selling Successfully on Social Media

That was the defining moment I decided to change the course of my business for the better.
All I needed to do was to learn the right sales skills and follow a systematic approach.

Element 1: Know the Problem You Are Solving
Every customer is looking to solve a problem. Learn how to use social media to find out what your buyer’s biggest problem is, and most of all, develop the skills to show how your solution will solve their problem. In this module you will learn, how to:
- use social media for fact-finding to learn your customer’s needs (what they want)
- identify the Dominant Buying Motive (DBM) (why they want it)
- show you have the solution they need (how you can justify they buy from you)
Element 2: Prospecting is King
Every business needs a full pipeline to survive. Understand why prospecting should be the number one priority of your day. Develop multiple ways to use social media to connect with potential customers/clients and fill that pipeline. In this module you will learn, how to:
- leverage your social media network to support what you have to offer (connect with influencers)
- find prospects on social media
- fill your pipeline (list building)
Element 3: Use Social Selling To Generate Leads
The biggest problem for a lot of businesses is obscurity (no one knows them!). Learn how to use social listening and active searching to identify and connect with high-quality leads. Know how to dominate your market with social selling. In this module you will learn, how to:
- build an ongoing social media monitoring system to identify prospects
- refine the search on social media to identify and connect with prospects
Element 4: Create Reasons to Follow-Up
Only 2% of all sales are made on the first contact. 80% of sales to a business are made after the 5th contact. At the same time, 73% of b-to-b leads are not sales ready. The follow-up with prospects is the single biggest opportunity to get the deal. To nurture something you need to pay attention to it.
Get access to multiple ways to follow-up with prospects on social media or via e-mail and maximize the likelihood to get the sale. In this module I will teach the activities a follow-up requires moving someone from being a prospect to becoming a buyer. You will learn:
- how to use retargeting on social media to follow-up with prospects
- how to build a lead capture and nurture system (e-mail marketing)
- what people value and A/B test your lead capture forms

People do not care about your product. They only care about solving their problem. Know the features that you are selling, but focus only on the advantages and benefits. Show your audience a compelling picture of how your product or service is going to make their life better. In this module you will learn, how to:
- identify features, advantages, and benefits
- show features and attach advantages and benefits
- how to tie benefits to the Dominant Buying Motive
Element 6: Show How Your value Will Exceed Price
Getting the sale is about the buyer having the confidence to buy from you. Discover why the price is not your buyer’s biggest concern. Learn how to communicate the value of your offer in a way that it exceeds the money you are asking your buyers to pay. In this module you will learn, how to:
- transform your business in a service oriented business, so you can ask a higher price
- create a successful sales page that actually converts
